Crystal Palace Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Palace are finishing the season with a burst of good results and while Fulham’s inconsistency means taking the draw-no-bet option may be sensible, the visitors could gain another success

Crystal Palace 2-1

Jean Philippe Mateta To Score Anytime

Jean-Philippe Mateta has been the figurehead of Palace’s recent good form, scoring twice against both West ham and Newcastle, and he can boost his Premier League tally.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Crystal Palace have won their last three matches.
  • The Eagles have scored in ten of their last 12 away league games.
  • Five of Fulham’s last six home league games have featured at least three goals.

Palace flying under Glasner

There have been times this season when it looked as if Crystal Palace might be sweating on their Premier League status, but the Eagles have ensured they will be back next term and are finishing the campaign with a head of steam under new manager Oliver Glasner.

A 1-0 win at Liverpool has given them a real push and rather than just reflecting on a job well done, the London side built upon their Anfield success by claiming excellent home successes over West Ham and Newcastle to leave their followers glad all over.

The win on Merseyside was the first they had posted in their previous ten away games, but they should still be confident about a visit to Craven Cottage, where Fulham have lost their last two matches against Newcastle and Liverpool.

Fulham struggling with inconsistency

Despite Palace’s recent progress, it looks sensible to add some insurance by taking the draw-no-bet option, mainly because the Cottagers are capable of turning it on in front of their own fans at times, as they did recently when they eased past top-four chasing Tottenham 3-0.

The fact there have not been enough of those days and that they have been beaten seven times on the banks of the Thames this tern goes a long way towards explaining why they are 13th in the table but have not really been in any significant relegation danger.

remarkably, struggling Everton are the only team outside the top three to have conceded more goals on their own patch than Fulham, but one win from the Cottagers in their last five suggests thoughts may be turning to the beach.

They would have lost four of those matches had they not dug out a couple of late goals to draw 3-3 at bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United, and they may not be able to keep a hyped-up Palace in check.

Mateta has been the man

While it was a strong defensive performance that led to Palace claiming a victory at Anfield, it has been striker Jean-Philippe Mateta who has really caught the eye for the Eagles.

The gangly centre forward was a huge problem for the Reds in that match, but he demonstrated his goalscoring ability in their last two matches, scoring twice against both West Ham and Newcastle.

He is providing a real handful for Premier League defenders and the Fulham backline look set to be in for a difficult afternoon.
