Red-hot Coventry can keep rolling at Ipswich

Coventry are in excellent form away from home and look set to continue their good run at Ipswich on Saturday. Frank Lampard’s side have been winners on five of their last six Championship away days and are coming into this game on the back of two straight successes.

They are leading the Championship, having won 13 of their 18 games this season, while Ipswich are seventh in the table with seven wins, seven draws and four losses.

Coventry maintained their winning habit last weekend, dominating Charlton with 68.5% possession – more of the ball than in any Championship game they’ve played this season – and running out 3-1 winners. This makes it eight wins in the 12 matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

The away side are in fine fettle. Coventry have lost just one of their last ten Championship games, going for a sixth successive win, having tasted victory in 11 of their last 12.

They are in free-scoring form, having scored three or more goals in five of their last seven Championship games. They have also found the net in 17 of their last 19 league matches.

A 2-1 win for Coventry looks a decent correct-score bet. Ten of their last 12 Championship games have featured over 2.5 goals, and three of Ipswich’s four reverses this season have been by a single goal.
