Rangers vs Motherwell Predictions

No Premiership team has found the net in more games this season than Rangers, and both teams have scored in eight of their last nine matches. That looks the best bet when they host Motherwell at Ibrox on Sunday.

They are second in the league, two places above Motherwell, and both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. Rangers have won 19 and lost just two of their 33 games, while Motherwell have 14 wins and seven defeats.

Rangers have enjoyed two straight Premiership successes at home and have avoided defeat in five of their last six league games against Motherwell. In contrast, this is a difficult spell for Motherwell, with four defeats in their last five Premiership games, including their last three away games.

Rangers fought back from a goal down at the break to beat Falkirk 6-3 two weeks ago, with Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski both firing two goals. The win was Rangers’ 17th in the 26 matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

Both sides have found the net in six of the last seven Premiership meetings between Rangers and Motherwell, and in 20 of Rangers’ 33 Premiership games this season.

The goals have been flowing for Rangers in recent games, with three or more goals scored in three successive Premiership matches. No team has more Premiership goals this season than Rangers’ 66 in 33 games.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Motherwell have played in five 1-1 draws this term in the Premiership, both sides have found the net in Rangers’ last three matches and four of Motherwell’s last five.
