Draw

Reason for tip

Both sides have suffered slips in forms in recent weeks, with Wrexham losing two of their last five at home and Mansfield losing three of their last six on the road. These frailties could lead to a lack of much needed quality and, with the order of the day likely to “avoid defeat”, a draw looks the likeliest outcome.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Wrexham have failed to score in just three of their 25 home games in all competitions this season, while eight of Mansfield’s last nine competitive fixtures have seen both teams find the net. Given that nothing could separate the two teams in the reverse fixture, a 1-1 score draws the most appeal.

Wrexham vs Mansfield Town Predictions

  • Just three points separate Wrexham and Mansfield (3rd and 1st respectively in League Two)
  • Wrexham have lost two of their last five at the Racecourse
  • The Stags have lost three of their last six on the road

Nothing to separate Red Dragons and Stags

Wrexham are firmly in the mix to achieve promotion for the second successive season but they struggle to take all three points when the league leaders visit the Racecourse on Friday.

Phil Parkinson’s men have been involved in low-scoring affairs in recent weeks at home, with no more than one goal scored in four of their last five. Three of these occasions has seen the Red Dragons fail to get on the scoresheet, and two of these have seen Wrexham come away with defeat.

However, this may be one of the better times to face Mansfield, who are have found things difficult when playing away from their Field Mill home in recent weeks. The Stags have lost three of their last six on the road, with each of these defeats coming via a 2-1 scoreline.

Both sides have had their difficulties as of late and their may be a lack of quality when they need it most to take all three points. The reverse fixture saw nothing split the two sides in a goalless draw and so, while both Wrexham and Mansfield could grab a goal each, the end result will likely see the two settling for just a single point.
