Where to bet on Cheltenham

Plenty of bookmakers offer some excellent deals for Cheltenham and bet365 is right up there, as they are offering £50 in free bets if you place £10 on any race at the festival. Claim the offer below!

13:30 – Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

Tip – Constitution Hill

This looks an above-average running of the Supreme and it might take a superstar to win it. Constitution Hill has looked just that on his way to two easy victories at Sandown and his sectionals on both occasions have been sensational. He can get the Brits off to a flyer.

14:10 – Arkle Chase

Tip – Edwardstone

The Irish challenge in the Arkle doesn’t look that strong and this could be another race that goes to the home team in the shape of the rock-solid Edwardstone. He was a good hurdler, but is an even better chaser and nothing has got close to him this year. He can get it done.

14:50 – Ultima Handicap Chase

Tip – Our Power

This is wide open and Our Power can spring a surprise. He ran an eye-catching race when a staying-on third in the Coral Trophy at Kempton last time. He didn’t get a clear run in the straight but kept on well on the run-in in spite of a mistake at the last. There’s more to come.

15:30 – Mares’ Hurdle

Tip – Teahupoo

Honeysuckle will be difficult to beat if she is at her best but she hasn’t looked as good to my eye this season and might be vulnerable to an improver like Teahupoo. He comes into the race on a steep upward curve and was wildly impressive when winning at Gowran Park.

16:10 – Champion Hurdle

Tip – Stormy Ireland

This is a very difficult race to call. It might be worth sticking with the proven course form of Stormy Ireland. She won well at the track over the new year and has been put away with this in mind since. Paul Townend has picked her from three Willie Mullins-trained mares.

16:50 – Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

Tip – The Tide Turns

Pied Piper and Vauban are the two best juveniles in Britain and Ireland and formlines that tie in with them both could prove the key. The Tide Turns was fourth to Vauban in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last time and is a likely winner, while Forever William can go well at a price.

17:30 – National Hunt Chase

Tip – Stattler

This can go to Willie and Patrick Mullins, who team up with Stattler. He has looked good winning both starts over fences this season and was placed in Grade 1 company over hurdles last year. He looks sure to improve for the step up in trip and should outclass these rivals.
