Bournemouth vs Norwich

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Norwich

Norwich come into this game in the better form than Bournemouth and both teams will be wanting the three points in order to put some distance between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone. The visitors aren’t adept at keeping clean sheets so I think Bournemouth can get a goal, but they only seem to turn up when playing against the bigger teams in the league. Norwich, on the other hand, have beaten fellow relegation candidates Newcastle and Aston Villa recently. I think the Canaries will get a win here, and 2-1 seems like a good backing.

Chelsea vs Everton

Correct Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw

Both of these sides are performing admirably in attack but still failing to pick up three points. Chelsea couldn’t hold on in midweek when West Brom held them to a 2-2 draw, and Everton have drawn five of their last nine matches. They may be failing to pick up the maximum points, but both teams are very difficult to beat. Chelsea haven’t lost any of their last five games and Everton have only lost once in their last nine outings. This, and the faltering defences of both sides, makes a high scoring draw look all the more likely, so I’m going for 2-2.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Manchester City

Manchester City’s goalless draw against Everton in midweek was the first time this season that they have failed to score at the Etihad, and also the first time since August that they haven’t conceded there. I can’t see that trend continuing on Saturday. I’m expecting Crystal Palace to put up a good fight, but ultimately the big earners and Man City should shine through and get them the three points. A tight 2-1 victory for the hosts looks likely to me.

Newcastle vs West Ham

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 West Ham

Newcastle may have netted three in midweek, but I think that was an anomaly rather than an upward trend for the relegation threatened side. They have lost four of their last five games and failed to score in all of those defeats. West Ham, on the other hand, have duly welcomed playmaker Dimitri Payet back into the team after his injury layoff. The midfield maestro bagged an assist and a goal in midweek and I fancy him to get the better of a shoddy looking Newcastle defence. West Ham have won their last four games in a row, and I think they’ll make it five with a comfortable 2-0 win on Saturday.

Southampton vs West Brom

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Southampton

Southampton’s 2-0 win over the in form Watford in midweek made it two wins from their last three games at St Mary’s. They’re coming up against a West Brom side who have been lucky to go unbeaten in their last four outings as well, including a last ditch equaliser against Bristol City. I fancy Southampton to start to dig themselves out of their hole by picking up back to back wins in the Premier League, and considering West Brom’s struggles in front of goal a clean sheet for the hosts looks likely.

Bristol City vs Middlesbrough

Correct Score Prediction: 2-0 Middlesbrough

Bristol City parted company with Steve Cotterill on Thursday night after a 13th Championship defeat of the season. They haven’t won any of their last seven matches either and find themselves in the relegation zone, and a match against the Championship title contenders couldn’t have come at a worse time. The visitors haven’t conceded a goal in nine matches and have won their last five matches on the bounce. An efficient and comfortable 2-0 win away from home looks like the order of the day here.
