Aberdeen vs Hamilton Betting Tips & Predictions

Aberdeen are still hanging on in there in the Scottish Premiership title race. They come into this match four points behind leaders and champions Celtic, although the top spot holders do have a game in hand on them.

However, with Celtic performing slightly below par this season there is still a chance for Aberdeen to catch them, especially if they can put a good run of form together for the second stage of the season and beat them.

It could be a one point gap at this stage, but Aberdeen lost to Motherwell last time out after going a goal ahead, with that defeat ending their four match unbeaten streak in the Scottish Premiership. It was just their second loss in their last 18 league outings, with 12 of these 18 games resulting in an Aberdeen win.

Hamilton will be justifiably worried about this, as they come into this match in pretty terrible form. They have won just two of their last 16 matches in all competitions and have lost three of their last five Premiership games.

This puts them down in 10th position in the Scottish Premiership table, and with just five points between them and the relegation playoff position that Kilmarnock occupy it is possible that they could find themselves in the second tier next season.

Aberdeen haven’t been at the best defensively recently, with them only keeping one clean sheet in their last eight league matches and only managing three in their last eight home matches. Hamilton, although in poor form, have managed to score in six of their last seven trips away from home, so odds of 19/20 for Both Teams to Score look good value to me. I think Aberdeen will win though, and a 2-1 correct score prediction looks attractive at 7/1.
