The end can’t come soon enough for hosts

It’s the final matchday of the Scottish top flight and hosts Aberdeen will be glad to see the back of it as it’s been nothing but disappointing. They’re usually the favourites to try and challenge Celtic and Rangers for top honours but somewhat surprisingly, they’ve had to settle for the bottom half. It’s largely due to how poor they’ve been since the turn of the year as the ‘Dons’ have managed to secure just two wins in that time. All they can do is try to end the season on a high by claiming victory here.

St. Mirren initially struggled following the departure of former manager Jim Goodwin to opponents Aberdeen, St. Mirren have put together an impressive run of late, winning back-to-back fixtures against St. Johnstone and Dundee respectively prior to a 0-0 draw against Livingston last time out. This turn of form means Steve Robinson’s men have moved away from danger and will secure a respectable finish in the Scottish Premiership.
