AFC Wimbledon vs Milton Keynes Dons Predictions

Having lost at home to a Northampton side who’ve struggled on the road this season, Wimbledon, who were unbeaten in four matches before Saturday, will be looking to bounce back when playing host to MK Dons at Kingsmeadow on Tuesday night; however, the visitors have made a bit of a habit of grinding out a result lately and could be hard to get the better of here.

It’s hard to trust either of these two teams here, such is the patchy nature of their recent form. Both are capable on their day, but concede a few too many goals to warrant backing for win purposes. The bet that stands out is ‘Both Teams to Score’.

As touched on above, both Wimbledon and MK Dons have been conceding a few too many goals of late and boast just one clean sheet between them in their last ten combined. However, scoring goals hasn’t proved too difficult for either and it would be no surprise if both managed to register here.

At home this season, Wimbledon have generally found goals easy to come by and, having scored 29 overall, have failed to score in just two of their 17 matches at Kingsmeadow. The problem has been of a defensive nature for Neal Ardley’s men, especially in recent weeks. The hosts have kept just two clean sheets in their last ten at home, keeping just four on their own patch all season. With such a record, MK Dons, who’ve scored more than their fair share of late, should be confident of finding the net here.

While the away team’s scoring prospects look good, their chances of keeping a clean sheet seem a whole lot slimmer. The visitors have scored three goals in their last two away matches and have scored in each of their last four overall. Considering Wimbledon’s defensive issues, Robbie Nielson’s men should fancy a goal here. However, with Wimbledon always looking a threat at home, it’s hard to see the visitors keeping a clean sheet.

With their current form in mind, the best way to play this fixture is ‘Both Teams to Score’ at what could be a fairly generous 5/6.
