Andorra vs Turkey Predictions
Andorra drew 2-2 in Albania in midweek despite the fact they had nothing to play for but pride, while Turkey secured the point they needed at home to Iceland to ensure they would finish in the automatic qualification places in Group H.
All of the stats heading into Sunday’s final round of qualifiers suggests that Turkey will win the game and that no more than two goals will be produced, so we’ve backed a 2-0 victory for the visitors.
Turkey have won each of their three previous matches against Andorra and two of their pairs three encounters have produced under 2.5 goals. Turkey have also kept clean sheets in each of their game against Andorra, so you can see why we’re backing a 2-0 win for the visitors this weekend.
The form of the two countries only adds weight to our prediction for an away win, as Andorra have lost four of their last six matches while Turkey are unbeaten in their last five matches, picking up three wins.
The performances of both teams suggest that no more than two goals will be scored in Sunday’s clash, as under 2.5 goals were produced in four of Andorra’s and five of Turkey’s last seven matches and the visitors are without their captain and top scorer Tosun through injury.
Andorra have failed to score in five of their last seven matches and Turkey have kept five clean sheets in their last seven attempts, which suggests that the visitors defensive will prove hard to breakdown and it’s highly unlikely that Andorra will score on Sunday. Turkey have only scored more than two goals in one of their last nine international matches and Andorra have only conceded more than two goals in three of their last eleven outings, making a 2-0 scoreline in favour of the visitor the most likely outcome this weekend.
We’re confident that Turkey will win and under 2.5 goals will be produced on Sunday and we have predicted a final scoreline of 2-0. Turkey head into the game as the clear form favourites and despite already qualifying for Euro 2020 we expect the visitors to go all out for the three points in the hopes they can overtake France and finish top of the group. Andorra have only won once in qualifying so far and that was against a poor Moldova side last month.
