Arsenal vs Norwich Betting Tips & Predictions

Arsenal struggled up front again last weekend as they faltered and dropped two points against a defiant Sunderland side. This did extend the Gunners’ unbeaten streak to six games, but multiple dropped points during this period have left their top four position in jeopardy.

They currently sit in 4th position, below Manchester City on goal difference and five points above Manchester United in 5th. However, the chasing Mancunians have a game in hand, so Arsenal can’t really afford any more slip ups. This might prove an issue when they come face to face with Manchester City next Sunday, so three points on Saturday is a must.

But Norwich have something to fight for themselves, and Arsenal are partly to blame. Their failure to beat Sunderland last weekend allowed Sunderland to leapfrog Norwich on goal difference and send the Canaries into the Premier League relegation zone.

It’s not all Arsenal’s fault though. Norwich lost 3-0 in their last match to relegation rivals Sunderland, a result which made it five defeats, two wins, and one draw in their last eight outings in the Premier League.

Norwich have failed to score in five of these eight matches, and they might struggle again on Saturday as they visit an Arsenal side who have kept four clean sheets in their last six matches.

But the Gunners have a tendency to misfire in front of goal too, which can result in some low scoring games. Four of their last six and each of their last three have seen fewer than three goals scored. Six of Arsenal’s last nine at the Emirates have been lacking on the goalscoring front too, so odds of 6/4 for Under 2.5 Goals look very good value. I think Arsenal will get the win though, so I’m backing a 2-0 correct score prediction at 6/1.
