Athletic have lost their last two games going down 2-1 at Valencia in the Europa League and by the same scoreline at Espanyol in La Liga. The former was still enough for them to progress into the last 8 in Europe though and they have another all Spanish tie with Sevilla on Thursday. There may come a point when they have to prioritise Europe over the league in terms of selection but following a 2 week international break which always helps give the vast majority of Athletic’s all-Basque squad a break, they should be refreshed and ready to go here so we can expect a strong side. Athletic have won all of their last 3 home games and will be expecting another win here as they attempt to cling on to feint hopes of a top four finish.

Granada are in the thick of the battle to beat the drop which involves almost half the league. They are outside the relegation zone right now but only by virtue of their superior head-to-head record against Getafe. They are in decent form though having only lost 1 of their last 5 matches but they were hoping for more than two draws in their last games which were both at home to fellow strugglers Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano.

Goals certainly look likely here. Only Barcelona and Real Madrid have scored more goals than Athletic Bilbao in La Liga this season. Only Rayo Vallecano have conceded more goals than Granada but the Andalusians have netted at least once in 5 of their last 6 matches so they do carry an attacking threat too and backing Over 2.5 Goals at 19/20 may be the way to go here.
