The London club are flirting with danger having picked up just 2 points from their last 5 matches while the sides below them have been picking up some fine wins. They are now just 1 point outside the drop-zone and despite having the 2nd best goalscoring record in the league they are very much in this relegation battle. Last weekend’s 2-1 home defeat to Bristol City was particularly damaging and it has seen the Robins move above them in the table.

Birmingham are hopeful of making the play-offs but they could really do with a win here having suffered defeat against Blackburn and drawn against Wolves in their last two matches. They will be confident of making it 7 in 8 here although given Fulham’s goal threat, we could well see goals at both ends of the pitch. Both teams have scored in 6 of Fulham’s last 7 away matches and they haven’t kept an away clean sheet since a trip to Middlesbrough 5 months ago. This is a big opportunity for Birmingham to make some ground in the race for the play-offs and the way Fulham been playing, backing Birmingham to win 2-1 at 8/1 might be where the smart money lies here.
