Bristol City

      Tip Reasoning

Two divisions separated these sides last term but it is the League One Champions that are favourite to win here at 11/8. Both sides have got their seasons up and running in the past week after disappointing starts.

Bristol City had been scoring goals but unfortunately leaking them all over the place and headed to Middlesbrough last weekend without a win. However they put in virtually a complete performance to grind out a 1-0 win away to the title favourites and a side that are very strong at home.

That will have given the West Country belief that they can beat anyone in this league. They’ll really fancy their chances at home to a Burnley side who haven’t been impressive so far. Bristol City are likely to return to their attacking philosophy at home and it could lead to another open game.

Burnley will also feel they are heading in the right direction after they picked up their first win last weekend against Brentford and have since signed striker Andre Gray from the West London club. Gray was prolific in this division last year and is likely to make his debut at Ashton Gate, where he has already scored this season. His arrival will help compensate for the loss of Danny Ings and against a Bristol City side that has conceded 8 goals in their last 3 home matches, you’d have to fancy Burnley to score in this game.

However City have scored 12 times in those fixtures so backing both teams to score at 4/5 is surely worth a punt, especially given both will come into the game with renewed confidence after wins last time out.

It might just take a little time for Andre Grey to fit into Burnley’s way of playing though and City could just nick this and chalk up a first win at Ashton Gate this season. Backing them to win 2-1 at 17/2 looks a good bet in the correct score market.
