Sporting Braga can move to within three points of the summit with a win over a crumbling Casa Pia side in Friday night’s clash at Jamor.

Artur Jorge’s side are coming up on the rails to make it a three-way fight for the title after Benfica’s late-season wobble. The Arsenalistas should take all three points home from Lisbon this time and that would set them up nicely for a return trip to the capital to face Benfica early next month.

Braga face only two teams in the top half of the table during the six-game run-in, giving them arguably an easier task than either Benfica or Porto. But they cannot get ahead of themselves even if Casa Pia are not in the sort of form to trip them up.

Geese get star striker back from a ban

The Geese have lost four of their last seven Primeira Liga contests, but get star striker Felippe Cardoso back from suspension this week. The Brazilian was signed in January and has returned three goals in five appearances so far – only one of which was a start.

Casa Pia could score against a Braga side that have conceded in five of their last six away league games, but Braga are more potent than most sides on the road, racking up a total of 15 goals in seven away fixtures since the turn of the year.

The recommendation is to take Braga to win with both teams on the scoresheet and a 2-1 road success.
