Crewe vs Bury Predictions

It may be a long and hard season with plenty of twists and turns still to come, but for any side who has not started the season as well as they hoped, alarm bells will already be ringing. That is exactly the case for Crewe Alexandra, however this weekend they have the opportunity to get back on track when they welcome recently relegated Bury to Gresty Road.

Crewe Alexandra have lost four of their last five in league and cup, despite a brave battle in a 1-0 defeat at leaders Lincoln last weekend. A major reason for their struggles of late is their inability to find the back of the net and they have managed just two goals in their previous five league matches. This inability to find the back of the net is nothing new, and it is something which they have struggled with since the start of the campaign. The 11 goals they have managed in the league this term is only two higher than the lowest scorers in the division.

Bury will be keen for a lift after successive draws, which have left them off the pace in their push for an immediate return to League 1. Unlike their hosts, Bury have had no trouble finding the back of the net so far and have scored an average of 1.5 goals per game. They are also one of the most in form teams in the division at the moment, with 14 points coming from their previous eight games, but with five goals conceded in the last fifteen minutes of their away matches, they will know that they will have to put this one to bed early if they are to claim the points.

With the hosts in no sort of shape at all and the visitors looking in excellent form, it is hard to envisage anything other than Bury walking away with all three points. Added to this is the fact that Bury are undefeated in the previous four meetings between these two sides, which only adds confidence to our tip of an away win.
