Empoli vs Juventus Predictions
Juve’s mini-wobble where they drew with Sevilla then lost at Inter is already forgotten, with three straight wins with clean sheets getting the Old Lady back on track.
Already top of the table, Juventus will see this as an obvious opportunity to keep up their momentum, especially as they have beaten Empoli four times in a row in all competitions.
Juve may have some tiredness in their legs as a result of their midweek Champions League match, however, although a 4-0 victory at Dinamo Zagreb was as comfortable a victory as they could have hoped for.
Empoli, meanwhile, are second-bottom of Serie A going into the seventh round of fixtures, with Crotone – who are bottom – the only team they have been able to beat in the league so far this season.
In fact, Empoli have only scored in one of their last six Serie A games, so it is hard to see them posing any sort of threat against Juve, whose defensive issues earlier in the campaign appear to have been solved.
Even though Max Allegri cannot rotate as much as he perhaps would like following a Champions League game, Juventus should have more than enough to record a fourth straight win in all competitions and strengthen their grip on top spot in the table.
Juventus to Win to Nil at 20/21 with bet365 is therefore our tip for this game, with the champions likely to ease to a very straightforward victory, although the early kick-off is another minor problem for them to get to grips with.
We also like Juventus to Win 2-0 at 5/1 with bet365 as Allegri’s men are unlikely to expend too much energy on this clash.
