Falkirk vs Rangers Betting Tips & Predictions

Falkirk’s faint hopes of lifting the Scottish Championship and achieving automatic promotion may be all but impossible now, but they are still hoping for a 2nd placed finish to put them at an advantage when it comes to the promotion playoff.

They currently occupy 2nd position, holding a three point lead over 3rd placed Hibernian but also having played two more games than their likely promotion playoff opponents. Above them sit Rangers, who hold an almost insurmountable 14 point lead over their nearest rivals.

Falkirk have found themselves faltering a bit of late as well. They may be unbeaten in six matches in all competitions, but they have only won three of their last ten and have managed to lose twice.

Rangers, on the other hand, come into this match having won their last six matches on the bounce and without defeat in 15 outings. However, their last defeat did come at this very stadium back in December as Falkirk managed a 2-1 win over them to hand them only their 2nd league defeat of the season.

Rangers went 1-0 down to Greenock Morton at the weekend to end their three match clean sheet streak and remind everyone that their defence is beatable. They have actually conceded in two of their last three away days in all competitions as well. Falkirk have only failed to score twice in their last 21 matches in all competitions as well, and at home they have managed to score in each of their last ten outings.

Four of the last five matches between these two has seen both sides find the net, and recent form suggests that this could be the case again on Friday. Odds of 8/11 for Both Teams to Score look good value to me too, so I’m backing that along with a 2-1 Rangers win at 15/2.
