FC Astana vs Partizan Belgrade Predictions
Astana picked up all three points at home to Kaiser at the weekend, running out 3-0 winners in the league, while Partizan secured a 4-1 victory away at Radnicki Nisand those results see both teams sitting third in their respective domestic league tables.
All of the stats suggest that we are likely to see both teams score on Thursday and we’ve backed Partizan to pick up their first win of the group stage courtesy of a 2-1 final score.
These two teams have never locked horns before but Astana have only failed to score in two of their last six matches and Partizan have scored in each of their last six matches, so both sides head into the match in good goalscoring form and that’s why we’re backing both teams to score on Thursday.
The form of both teams adds weight to our prediction of a win for the visitors, as Astana have lost three of their last six matches, while Partizan remain unbeaten in their last six matches with four wins and two draws. Astana were beaten 1-0 in their opening group game away at Manchester United while Partizan were held to a 2-2 draw by Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and having that first point on the board will do a lot of the visitor’s confidence.
The performances of both teams over the last month or so leads us to believe that there will be at least three goals scored in this match, as over 2.5 goals were produced in four of Astana’s and three of Partizan’s last five matches. Partizan have won their last three away games against Radnicki Nis, Javor Ivanjica, and Proleter Novi Sad and on each of those occasions, Partizan have scored at least two team goals which provides another reason behind our prediction of a 2-1 final score for Thursday’s clash.
We’re confident that both teams will score on Thursday and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-1 in favour of Partizan. The visitors already have a point on the board in Group L and will be confident of adding to that tally on Thursday. Both teams have been scoring goals on a regular basis of late nut its the visitors that head into the game as the clear form favourites.
