Feyenoord vs Dinamo Tbilisi Predictions

Feyenoord head into the 1st leg without a win in their last five matches, while their Georgian guests claim the title of form favourites after winning all of their last six matches. However, Feyenoord have the better squad on paper and play in a much better league against tougher and higher quality opponents, so should make light work of Dinamo Tbilisi over two legs.

The stats suggest that both teams will score and that we are likely to be treated to over 2.5 goals on Thursday, and even though the form guide points to an away win we can’t see the hosts losing this one. Dinamo Tbilisi weren’t really tested in the previous qualifying rounds, beating Engordany 7-0 and Qabala 5-0, both on aggregate.

Dinamo Tbilisi’s have seen four of their last six matches produced over 2.5 goals and that includes a couple of impressive 6-0 wins over Engordany in the Europa League qualifiers and in the Erovnuli Liga last time out against Lokomotivi Tbilisi.

We’re confident that both teams will score and that over 2.5 goals will be featured in Thursday’s 1st leg and have predicted a final scoreline of 3-1 to Feyenoord. Feyenoord are the better of the two clubs despite what the form guide might tell you, and while their guests have kept a lot of clean sheets and scored a lot of goals of late they haven’t faced anyone during that period that possessed the quality Feyenoord have to offer. The hosts have struggled at the back in the early stages of the new season so we are expecting goals at both ends of the pitch but believe Feyenoord will pull rank and claim a comfortable 1st leg victory.
