Euro 2024 hosts Germany get their pre-tournament preparations underway in Nurnberg on Monday and they may be given a tough test when an in-form Ukraine come to town.

The home side, who have not played a competitive match since the World Cup, have looked shaky at times over the past 18 months, although their performances did improve in the March international break.

Ukraine, meanwhile, head to Germany having lost just one of their last ten matches and they have found the net in nine of these assignments, so backing both teams to score appeals on Monday.

I do expect Germany to clinch the victory, though. They showed real signs of improvement to beat France and Netherlands and Ukraine have lost and drawn to Italy in the past year, so a repeat of Germany’s last outing – a 2-1 victory – is suggested in the correct score market.
