Greece vs Liechtenstein Predictions

Greece have four points on the board from their opening five qualifiers after losing in midweek 3-2 at home to Armenia, while Liechtenstein suffered their fifth defeat in five qualifiers when they went down 2-0 at home to Finland on Thursday.

All of the stats suggest that Greece will win and keep a clean sheet on Sunday but the hosts need to put a much-improved performance in after failing to win any of their last four international matches.

The history between these two clubs not only points to a win and a clean sheet for Greece this weekend but also hints strongly that the scoreline will end 2-0. Greece have won all of their four previous meetings with Liechtenstein and have never conceded a goal against Sunday’s guests. The hosts won 2-0 in three of their four games against Liechtenstein with their last victory arriving back in March.

Neither team arrive in great form this weekend, with Liechtenstein losing five of their last six international matches and Greece only winning one of their last six games, but the hosts have scored two goals in three of their last four qualifiers (losing 3-2 against Armenia, drawing 2-2 with Bosnia-Herzegovina, and beating Liechtenstein 2-0).

Liechtenstein have failed to score in five of their last six matches and have conceded at least two goals in each of their last six matches, which is just another reason why we feel a 2-0 win for Greece is on the cards this weekend. The fact that Liechtenstein have lost three of their last six internationals via the same 2-0 scoreline just adds even more weight to our prediction for Sunday’s qualifier.

We’re confident that Greece and under 3.5 goals will be produced in Sunday’s match and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-0. The hosts might not be in the best of form but they still head into Sunday’s match as the form favourites and have beaten Liechtenstein in all of their four previous encounters. This fixture tends not to produce many goals and with both teams out of form we’re expecting another low-scoring affair but believe Greece will pick up all three points courtesy of a 2-0 final score.
