Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Fewer than three goals have been scored in Gremio’s last three Serie A games and also in four of RB Bragantino’s last five away games in all competitions. Gremio have had a month of inactivity because of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul and are being forced to play in a temporary home, so they could take time to rediscover their top gear.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Three of Bragantino’s last five away games in all competitions finished 1-1 and with Gremio possibly taking time to get back into their match rhythm, this game could be another low-scoring draw.

Gremio vs Bragantino Predictions

  • Fewer than three goals have been scored in Gremio’s last three Serie A games
  • Fewer than three goals have been scored in four of RB Bragantino’s last five away games in all competitions
  • Gremio have had a month of inactivity because of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul

Gremio go back to square one after floods

Gremio return to league action after a gap of more than a month on Saturday, but they cannot host RB Bragantino at their own ground because of ongoing problems after the floods.

Immortal Tricolor will instead use the Couto Pereira stadium, in Curitiba, as a temporary “home” for the next couple of weeks as they get back into the rhythm of playing regularly again.

Gremio’s lack of recent action makes them a tricky proposition to back here as their previous good home form is likely to count for next to nothing.

Goals unlikely to flow against stubborn Bragantino

One aspect of their early-season results was the lack of goals and that could still come into play against a Bragantino side that are among the more defensive-minded in the division.

Only two clubs conceded fewer top-flight goals than Brute Mass last year and Pedri Caixinha’s side appear to be just as solid in 2024, shipping six goals through their first six games and only once allowing more than a single strike.

Three of their last five away games in all competitions have finished 1-1, including Tuesday’s night’s Copa Sudamericana group match in Chile where they equalised deep in stoppage time.
