Hartlepool vs Crawley Town Predictions

Hartlepool have had a frustrating start to the season and after almost a quarter of the season they find themselves in 13th position after their opening 11 games. A lot of their troubles have come on home turf and after their first five games at Victoria Park they have only managed to claim four points, a record which is the fourth worst in the division. As well as the home form, one of the main concerns for Craig Hignett is their defensive record. Having conceded 18 goals from their matches so far they have a tally which makes them the joint second worst defense in the division.

Crawley on the other hand will be delighted with their form this season and after their opening 11 fixtures they are firmly in the running for promotion this season. Many fans begrudge the Red Devils success, as they rose through the divisions on the back of a millionaire owner’s backing and they will have thought that once that backing dried up they would fall back down the football pyramid. Mickey Mellon will be determined to make sure that isn’t the case and recent form suggests he’s found a formula that could even put them back into League One next season.

Given that Hartlepool have had their fair share of troubles at home and that Crawley look to be flying high at the moment we are surprised that there is such value in backing the away side to come away with anything on Saturday. We are backing Crawley to win or draw on the double chance at 5/6 with bet365 for our tip this week.
