Hibernian vs Inverness CT Betting Tips & Predictions

Hibernian’s chase of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership always had a hint of impossibility about it, but the last few weeks have all but ended their title challenge. They have lost three matches on the bounce for the first time in almost a year and now find themselves 14 points off the top spot. They are also only a point ahead of 3rd placed Falkirk. However, a Scottish FA Cup win would render all this forgotten, and a win over Inverness CT on Sunday would send them into the semi finals.

Hibernian’s defeat to Greenock Morton a couple of weeks ago was their first home defeat since July, and they will be hoping that they can bounce right back against top flight opposition on Sunday. They have already managed to see of Hearts in the Scottish Cup this season, so they definitely have the capability to knock their visitors out on Sunday.

Inverness CT lost to Hearts in midweek to make it one point from their last three matches in the Scottish Premiership, although to be fair their other defeat came away to Celtic. Before that they had won three of their last four matches.

This has left them in 8th position in the Scottish Premiership, and Inverness CT will be hoping to get back to form quickly to avoid being dragged into any relegation battle that might be looming on the horizon.

Inverness CT will be buoyed by the fact that they have a very good record against Hibernian. They haven’t lost to their opponents since 2012 and have won five of their seven meetings since then. This, in addition to Hibernian’s poor recent form, makes me think that the visitors have a real chance of getting something. Odds of 7/10 for an Inverness CT Win or Draw Double Chance look excellent value, and I’m backing a tight 1-1 draw at 5/1 too.
