Hull vs Wolves Predictions

A run of just 1 win from 8 league games while all their main rivals have being going well has seen Hull’s bid for a top two slot fall by the wayside. They come into this match in 4th place and 10 points off the automatic promotion places with 1 game in hand. They may need to win all of their remaining matches to have any chance of automatic promotion. They drew 2-2 at Huddersfield last weekend following a crushing 4-0 loss at Derby. They have remained solid at home and have only lost 1 of their last 22 matches in this division at the KC but 4 of their last 5 home games have ended up all square and that has left them destined for the play-offs it would seem.

Wolves have nothing to play for so could make for decent opponents at this stage in the season but have been tough to beat of late. They are unbeaten in 6 but 4 of their last 5 have finished in draws and they find themselves in 12th place and with no chance of making the top 6. They have coped admirably with a few serious injuries to key players over the past few weeks although this will be a tough test for them.

This game doesn’t look like it will be a high scoring one. Hull may have cruised to a 4-o win at home to Bristol City last time out at the KC but there were only 4 goals in their 4 previous home games and Wolves are a much better defensive outfit than the Robins and are likely to come here with a cautious mentality with their better attacking players out. 3 of their last 5 games have ended 0-0 and backing there to be under 2.5 goals at 4/5 looks a good idea here.
