Internacional vs Vitoria Predictions
These two sides are both in the bottom five and are separated by just 1 point so there is a lot at stake here and it’s a game neither can really afford to lose. As if that wasn’t enough, it also sees Argel take charge of Vitoria for the first time against the club that sacked him earlier in the season.
He has had another job inbetween though and was duly given his marching orders from that too by Figueirense after little over a month at the helm, so it’s a bit of a wonder why he keeps getting top flight jobs. This will incredibly be his 22nd different managerial role, which is some going for a 42 year old and he has a big job on his hands to try and keep Vitoria up. They’ve lost their last 3 matches, the latest of which was a 2-1 home defeat against Flamengo which was enough for the board to dismiss Vágner Mancini.
Internacional haven’t exactly improved since they dismissed Argel earlier in the season. They’ve only won 1 of their 10 league matches since then and it’s just 1 win in 16 in the league overall which is deeply worrying for a side that was expected to challenge at the right end of the league. On a more positive note, they do appear to have turned a little corner and have won their last two home matches. They beat Fortaleza 3-0 in the Cup and ended their wait for a league win with a 2-1 victory over Santos 7 days ago.
The recent form of these sides tends to suggest we should see goals at both ends here. That has happened in 6 of Inter’s last 7 in the league and having once prided themselves on their defending, they have now gone 16 league matches without a clean sheet. Both teams have also scored in 8 of Vitoria’s last 9 matches in all competitions, so you have to say, backing Both Teams to Score at 10/11 looks to offer very good value here.
