Kilmarnock vs Inverness CT Predictions

Kilmarnock managed to avoid defeat last weekend as they battled to a goalless draw away to Motherwell, which will have been a relief after their 5-1 thrashing by Aberdeen a few days before.

They are struggling a bit at the moment though, with just one win in their last six games and three defeats during that time. They still hold on to a respectable 6th position in the Scottish Premiership table, but things can change very quickly in the bottom half of the league. There are just four points separating 6th from 12th, with five points between Kilmarnock and 5th placed St Johnstone.

At home Kilmarnock have proven rather difficult to break down though. They have only lost three of their home games this season and two of those came against Aberdeen and Celtic. They have managed to pick up points against Rangers and Hearts at home as well.

The hosts are by no means the best team going forward in the league, but they do have a star striker to call upon. Souleymane Coulibaly has netted seven Scottish Premiership goals this season and scored in their last home match, so backing him to score anytime at 15/8 looks a good option for our goalscorer predictions.

Inverness CT’s own star striker Losana Doumbouya has so far failed to turn up when he has played on unfamiliar turf. Four of his five goals have come at home, so despite being the bookies 3rd favourite to find the back of the net I’d give him a swerve.

The visitors did manage to break out of their four match losing streak last weekend, but their 1-1 draw at home to Hamilton did make it six games without a victory and they have only won one of their last 11 outings after a rather promising start to the season.

Away from home things don’t look overly promising for Inverness CT. They have lost six of their last nine away days and won just once this season. They haven’t all been difficult matches either, with defeats to Dundee, St Johnstone, and Partick Thistle.

This will give Kilmarnock a lot of reasons to be confident, and I think they can get a win from this game. They have struggled to find the victory this season though, so the best option is backing a Kilmarnock 0.0 Asian Handicap Win at 2.100 along with a 2-0 correct score predictions at 12/1.
