Lazio to Win

Reason for tip

Lazio have won four of their last five home Serie A matches while Lecce have lost five straight away league games and went down 1-0 at home to struggling Verona on Sunday.

Lazio 2-0

Reason for tip

Lazio’s good home form should see them over the line, but they only beat bottom side Sampdoria 1-0 in February and needed a 92nd-minute goal to clinch a 2-0 win over lowly Sassuolo recently. Lecce have conceded exactly two goals in three of their last five away trips, all defeats, and failed to score in four.

Gomes Felipe Anderson To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Former West Ham winger Anderson experienced a goalscoring purple patch earlier this year when deployed in a central striker’s role because of Ciro Immobile’s injury, notching in four consecutive games. The Brazilian then failed to score in his next 11 games, but has hit a hot streak again now he’s back on the right-hand side of Sarri’s attacking trident, bagging three in five.

Lazio can afford no more slips

Lazio cannot afford to slip up when they host relegation-threatened Lecce in a crunch end-of-season Serie A clash at Stadio Olimpico on Friday.

I Biancocelesti’s lead in the race to secure a Champions League place was halved when AC Milan beat them 2-0 at San Siro on Sunday, leaving Maurizio Sarri’s men just three points ahead of the Rossoneri with four games to go.

The ex-Chelsea coach sounded pretty downbeat in his post-match media conference, bemoaning mistakes in the build-up phase and Ciro Immobile’s lack of form up front. But Lecce, who have lost five on the bounce away from home, should be pretty obliging opponents.

Anderson carrying the goal burden for Sarri

The Giallorossi lost 1-0 at home to Verona in a key relegation scrap last Sunday, registering only two tame efforts on target in the 90 minutes. Their opponents, who were beaten 6-0 by Inter a few days before, had chances to be 2-0 up before Cyril Ngonge’s long-range effort settled it.

Lazio’s good home form should see them over the line, although it might not be that comfortable given they only beat bottom side Sampdoria 1-0 in February and needed a 92nd-minute goal to clinch a 2-0 win over lowly Sassuolo recently.

Felipe Anderson, who has hit three in his last five appearances, also looks a good anytime goalscorer bet while Immobile (one goal in 11) continues to struggle.
