      Leicester vs Norwich Predictions

It’s starting to become a reality now that Leicester City, the team that were bottom of the table for much of last season, could actually win the Premier League table. They come into this game two points clear of Spurs and Arsenal in 2nd and 3rd respectively, and they only have a couple more tough matches in the league. Their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last time out will have been crushing though. They had to play a significant portion of the match with ten men and put in a really impressive rearguard performance, but Danny Welbeck broke Leicester hearts with his injury time winner. But Leicester have suffered a few defeats this season, and each time they have bounced back and proved all the doubters wrong. I doubt this will be any difference.

Norwich managed to escape the Premier League relegation in their last match when they picked up a point at home to West Ham. This lifted them up to 17th in the table after Newcastle’s defeat, and also ended their six match losing streak in all competitions. But the visitors are looking really poor at the moment, and they will need to improve if they are to steer clear of relegation this season.

      Reasons for Betting Tips

Leicester’s attacking play as been scintillating at times this season, and key attacking partnership Riyad Mahrez have converted this impressive playing style into goals. Between them they have netted 33 Premier League goals, with Marez adding ten assists to his 14 goal tally as well. Surely he is a massive contender for player of the season. This attacking style of play has unsurprisingly resulted in some high scoring matches, and they are facing a Norwich side who have the joint worst defensive record in the Premier League.

The visitors have conceded 50 league goals this season and have averaged over two goals per game conceded on the road. Their recent defensive record certainly hasn’t helped the situation. Norwich have conceded 21 goals in their last seven matches in all competitions. Vardy and Mahrez will be licking their lips in anticipation for this one, and considering six of Norwich’s last seven matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals scored I think odds of 3/4 are very good value. Obviously I’m backing Leicester to win it as well with a 3-1 correct score prediction.

      Recent Form

      All competitions; most recent first.

      Leicester: LWWWLDW

      Norwich: DLLLLLL

      Head to Head

Leicester managed to get the three points from Norwich at Carrow Road earlier in the season. Before that they hadn’t met since 2012, with each team taking two victories apiece in their last four meetings.

      Statistics

Norwich have conceded an average of 2.31 goals per game away from home this season, and 85% of their last seven matches have seen Over 2.5 Goals scored.

      Team News

Leicester – Danny Simpson misses out through suspension, whilst Jordan Schlupp and Matthew James remained sidelined due to injuries.

Norwich – The visitors will have to deal without Andre Wisdom for this match, but apart from that they have a clean bill of health.
