Ludogorets vs Real Betis Predictions
- Real Betis will be confirmed in the round of 16 as group winners if they avoid defeat.
- Ludogorets, who played well in their 3-2 defeat in Seville, can keep themselves in the hunt with a win or draw.
- At least three goals have been scored in six of Real Betis’ last eight away Europa League games.
Real Betis can make things lively against Ludogorets
A lively affair can be expected when Ludogorets entertain Group C leaders Real Betis in Razgrad on Thursday. The Bulgarian champions’ acquitted themselves well in Seville when these two sides met on Matchday Two and will have gained much respect from their performance in that 3-2 loss at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
The Eagles can begin quite cagily in this competition, but usually open things out in the second half – as they did when beating Roma 2-1 in the game which is keeping them above Jose Mourinho’s side in the battle to qualify. The last six goals scored by Ante Simundza’s side have come after the interval.
Real Betis are in good shape to go through as group winners with a home game against Finnish outfit HJK to follow this trip to Bulgaria and only a further point required. They could make life easier for themselves in the build up to the Seville derby a week on Sunday by finishing the job here and resting stars against HJK next week.
Pellegrini’s squad boasts plenty of attacking options
Sergio Canales is available after serving a domestic suspension at the weekend and he could be Nabil Fekir, who scored as a substitute against Atletico Madrid last weekend. Manuel Pellegrini has the attacking options at his disposal to suggest going for it might be their best option.
At least three goals have been scored in six of Real Betis’ last eight away Europa League games, with an average of 3.6 goals per game across their last ten. So backing over 2.5 goals on Thursday at odds of around Evens seems a solid play.
A 2-2 draw may even be worth a small wager for correct score backers as Ludogorets have scored exactly two goals in three of their last five home games while Real Betis have hit doubles in three of their seven away contests this season.
