      Lugano vs FC Copenhagen Predictions

Lugano have yet to win a game in this year’s Europa League but still stand a chance of qualifying for the round of 32 if they can pick up two wins in their final two group games. Whilst the side haven’t conceded many, just three in fact, scoring goals has been their biggest problem with just one goal in their four games so far.

Goals having exactly been flowing in Group B with group leaders Copenhagen only scoring 4, an average of just one per game. Five of the eight games in Group B have finished in a draw and only one has beaten the over 2.5 goal line with four of the games seeing 1 goal or less in what has been the lowest scoring group this season.

Copenhagen haven’t tasted defeat in the Europa League so far but also haven’t experienced a win since matchweek one, with their 1-0 victory in the reverse of this fixture being followed by 3 straight draws. Their route to the round of 32 is less than secure and they still need to pick up points to keep themselves ahead of both Dynamo Kyiv and Malmo.

With the lack of goals so far in this group, we’re predicting that trend continuing and are confident in predicting that the 2.5 goal line won’t be beaten again. With an average of just 1.25 goals per game between these two sides so far, there isn’t a lot to suggest this will be a goalfest and the under 2.5 goals selection looks fairly safe.

Lugano have a lot to play for with anything other than a win meaning they are eliminated from European competition for this season whilst Copenhagen have to keep the pace at the top of the group or face a must win game in their final group game at home to Malmo. There is a lot on the line but we see this being a really tight game and are predicting that these two won’t be able to be separated and home advantage should see Lugano secure a 1-1 draw.
