Nancy vs Nice Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews

The newly promoted Nancy seem to have gotten out of their start of season slump now and have begun heading up the Ligue 1 table. They are by no means in a comfortable position, but they are at least outside the relegation zone with their 17th position.

They began their return to the top flight with a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Lyon, and it was followed by back to back 2-0 defeats to Rennes and Guingamp to leave them pointless and goalless after three games.

Nancy managed to take all three points from a clash at Lorient with a 2-0 victory though, and they followed this last weekend with a 1-1 draw at home to Nantes. Their midweek fixture saw them pick up another point, this time away at Bastia with a goalless draw.

Nice will be a tough team to overcome though. The visitors are coming into this match on the back of a fantastic 4-0 thrashing of Monaco in midweek which has taken them to the top of the Ligue 1 table. New signing Mario Balotelli added another two Ligue 1 goals to his tally in the process and is looking like a bargain of a signing so far.

This followed one form their weekend draw at Montpellier and a 1-0 loss to Schalke in the Europe League last weekend. Prior to that they had beaten Marseille, Rennes, and Angers in Ligue 1 and drawn against Lille to five them a tally of 14 points from their six games. This puts them a point ahead of PSG in 2nd.

Nice are in excellent form at the moment and have won two of their three away days in Ligue 1 so far. Meanwhile Nancy have lost four of their last five home matches in the league and have won none. This makes odds of 21/10 for a Nice win almost too good to ignore, so I’m backing that along with a 2-1 correct score prediction at 10/1.
