Nancy vs PSG Predictions
Nancy have made a pretty miserable start to life back in the top flight. 5 points from 8 games so far leaves them bottom of the pile and already it’s looking like it could be a long season. The visit of PSG isn’t exactly what they need right now and things are made worse by a couple of suspensions, so it’s hard to see them getting anything from this match.
Their main problem has been scoring goals with just 3 so far and they’ve drawn blanks in 6 of their 8 matches. Just 1 point from 4 home games is another major cause for concern, with Lyon, Nice and Guingamp having already won to nil at the Stade Marcel Picot. At least they will have got several of their toughest home fixtures out the way after this one but they need to start putting a few results together if they aren’t to get cut adrift.
PSG have won this league at a canter in recent seasons but it’s shaping up to be a bit closer this term. They are currently 4 points behind early leaders Nice and have already lost twice this term, which is the same number of defeats inflicted on them in all of last season when they won the league by a massive 31 points. The 5 games they have won have all been to nil though and they’ve still won a few games convincingly. Such as the 6-0 win at Caen last month, so a comfortable away win looks the most likely outcome here.
Given PSG haven’t been conceding many goals and Nancy haven’t been scoring many, it’s hard to see how the hosts are going to cause the champions many problems here. PSG might not have been quite at last season’s utterly dominant level but they should still have far too much quality for Nancy here, so backing PSG to win to nil at 21/20 looks to offer value here.
