Nottingham Forest vs Bristol City Predictions

Forest had racked up 13 unbeaten games in the Championship to climb up into the top half but back-to-back defeats in recent weeks have stemmed their progress. They lost 2-0 at home to Huddersfield and 1-0 at Burnley last time out and as a result Dougie Freedman’s side are in 12th place and 12 points off the top six.

Bristol City also suffered a setback in midweek when they were thumped 4-0 at home by Brighton. It was the 6th time they’ve conceded 4 goals in the Championship this season and was a mysterious result given they’d come into the game in great form having picked up successive wins against Charlton, Ipswich and MK Dons to move clear of the drop-zone. The bottom 3 failed to capitalise on their slip-up though and an 8 point cushion on 3rd bottom Rotherham should help them come to terms with their latest heavy defeat.

      Reason for Betting Tips

Bristol City are likely to set their stall out to be much more cautious here and will gladly take a point back to the West Country. Nottingham Forest aren’t anywhere near as strong as Brighton going forward but are very well-organised at the back and there have been under 2.5 goals in 13 of their last 15 fixtures. Therefore consider backing there to be under 2.5 goals at 4/6 in this one.
