Panama vs Haiti Predictions

Panama started off their qualifying campaign with an impressive and somewhat surprising 0-2 victory over the Reggae Boyz in Jamaica. Midfielder Armando Cooper scoring just before half time, before Leicester defender Wes Morgan found his own net, shortly after the start of the second half. Jamaica created a few chances, but the defence of Panama stayed strong securing the three points and a clean sheet.

Unfortunately they suffered disappointment in their next game, a 1-2 defeat to top of the table Costa Rica at home. Two quick goals from Costa Rica captain Bryan Ruiz and striker Marcos Urena mid way through the second half put the visitors ahead, Luis Tejada made an impact for Panama coming off the bench and scoring after just 2 minutes, however Panama were unable to push for the draw – despite their 6 shots on target.

They got a 0-0 draw with Haiti last week, but will hoping to put home advantage to good use this time round and secure all 3 points.

Haiti secured their first point in this CONCACAF World Cup qualifying round, and drawing 0-0 at home to Panama last week and will face a tough test away a Panama side who be looking to build on last weeks draw.

Manager Patrice Neveu will be hoping to get at least a point in this game, otherwise progressing to the next qualification round will be an almost impossible task. In their opening fixture they played a strong Costa Rica side away from home, West Brom defender Cristian Gamboa’s first half goal being the difference between the two sides, although Haiti created very little in the way of chances, with just one shot on target all game.

In the following fixture, they took on a Jamaica side at home, British-born Birmingham striker Clayton Donaldson’s 62nd minute goal being enough to separate the sides. Again Haiti struggled to create chances and opted for 3 attacking substitutions in the last 20minutes, but unfortunately they did not impact the game.

Like the reverse fixture last week we are unlikely to see many goals in this one. Get Under 1.5 goals at 5/4 with bet365.
