Pescara vs Atalanta Predictions
Atalanta have turned a corner of late, putting together a four match unbeaten run. Will they be able to continue that against a side who have made a rough start to the campaign? The visitors have managed to claim results against some bigger sides, but now they’re favourites away to a team fending off relegation.
Pescara are fourth from bottom in Serie A, and they’re arguably lucky to even be that high. They have yet to win a game all season, but they were awarded three points for a trip to Sassuolo. One of the opposition players took to the field, despite his registration not being finalised. That saw the result reversed, and the visitors received the win by default. they could do with being handed another couple of points, as they’re dangerously close to the relegation zone.
While they picked up those points away, they’ve yet to see a win at home. Pescara have drawn three and won two of their matches at Stadio Adriatico this term. They’ve struggled to keep clean sheets in front of their own fans, as they’ve conceded in 80% of their home fixtures so far this term. They’ll struggle to keep out Atalanta this week too, judging by their recent form.
The visitors make this trip with plenty of confidence, having claimed wins over Napoli and Inter Milan of late. They’ve taken four points from their last two on the road, while they’re now averaging a goal per game on their travels. They’ve managed to tighten up defensively, conceding just twice in their last four. That included a clean sheet away to Fiorentina.
Pescara are scoring just 0.8 goals per game at home, so Atalanta have another chance of claiming a clean sheet again here. The visitors have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six trips to this ground. Judging by the host’s scoring form, they should be expected to keep another. The same can’t be said for the Biancazzurri, who have some issues at the back. They concede far too many shots at home, giving away over 18 on average. Given that 10% of Atalanta’s attempts have hit the back of the net, the visitors should be able to grab a goal.
We’re going with an away win here, but we’re backing it on the draw no bet market. Bet365 price Atalanta at 8/11 without the draw, and that seems like a good bet against a side who can’t win a game. Judging by results so far, the visitors should at least keep their unbeaten run going, so backing them to win with a safety net if they draw seems like the smartest bet in this one.
