Plymouth Argyle vs Yeovil Town Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Preview

Plymouth finished off last season with defeat in the play-off final but when it was announced that the entire squad was out of contract it quickly became apparent that failure to win promotion was the least of the Pilgrims worries. What followed was a busy summer of new arrivals and contract renewals and so far it looks as though all that hard word has been worth it. Plymouth sit at the top of the division with a five point gap over their nearest rivals. This success has been built largely on the back of a strong defence and Argyle currently boast the best defensive record, having conceded just seven goals this season.

Visiting Home Park on Saturday is struggling Yeovil Town who after 10 games currently sit in 20th position with 10 points on the board. Yeovil put points on the board early on but they have taken the least amount of points of any sides in the last eight games. Adding to their worries is their lack of form in front of goal and playing a side with the best defensive record in the division seems unlikely to cure that.

This looks to be a nailed-on home win so we are very surprised at still being able to get 4/5 for the outright Plymouth win. We were looking at ways to improve our return on this one and were tempted by the Plymouth half time/full time at 7/4 or the Plymouth and under 2.5 goals at 11/4 but with the outright win so close to evens it looks to be a no-brainer.
