PSV Reserves vs FC Dordrecht Predictions
After a low key start to the campaign, Jong PSV have been making eye catching progress over the last few weeks. Dennis Haar’s side have won three of their last five Eerste Divisie matches including a 2-1 success against defending champions Jong Ajax a fortnight ago, and they’ll fancy their chances of landing another three points this Friday when they entertain bottom club Dordrecht at De Herdgang.
Jong PSV have won their last four encounters against Dordrecht, and everything points towards a similar outcome when the teams face off on match day 11.
Dennis Haar’s side are heading in the right direction after accruing ten points from their last five outings, and they’ve performed brilliantly at De Herdgang this season with three wins and a draw from four fixtures.
They’ve continued a trend set in 2017/18 when their home form was key to their fine 5th place finish, and like last term they look capable of beating any team in this division on their day.
Dordrecht certainly won’t be relishing the trip to Eindhoven where they lost 4-2 back in April, and Gerard de Nooijer’s men just can’t buy a result on the road.
They were dismal for the majority of last season away from home in losing 12 of their 19 outings, but things have been even worse this time around. Dordrecht have lost all five of their away games this term, although they’ve endured a tough run of fixtures with three of those defeats coming against teams in the top five.
Dordrecht did manage to scrape their fifth point of the campaign last week by salvaging a 1-1 draw at home to Jong AZ, but there’s very little to suggest that they can trouble this Jong PSV outfit who are in good form and in good spirits.
Perhaps bankers of the round, we’re siding with the hosts to land their fifth success of the campaign here, but we’re also throwing in both teams to score to boost the odds. Both teams have hit the net in all but one of Jong’s games this season and in six of Dordrecht’s last eight, so there’s a strong chance of a return at a decent price.
Jong have been banging in the goals left right and centre of late and should get plenty of joy against a Dordrecht defence that’s conceded at a rate of two goals per game this season, so we’re also giving a speculative vote to a 4-1 correct score in favour of Dennis Haar’s men.
