Ross County vs Motherwell Predictions
Ross County couldn’t manage to make it three consecutive wins on Saturday as they lost 3-2 at Kilmarnock, with a frantic start seeing the visiting Ross County 2-1 up inside 12 minutes only for them to lose it in the second half.
This followed on from an even more thrilling match as they beat Dundee United 6-2 in the Scottish FA Cup, and prior to that they won 3-2 at home to Inverness CT. Ross County certainly know how to entertain the neutrals at the moment.
They have only lost three of their last 11 matches in all competitions, winning four times in the process. All three of these defeats have come in their last five games though, and there has been a total of 24 goals in these five matches.
Despite having a rather respectable record in the league recently, they still aren’t out of danger in terms of the relegation zone. They sit up in 7th position in the Premiership, but there are only six points between them and bottom of the table Inverness CT.
Motherwell also suffered defeat at the weekend as they lost to Rangers for the second time in seven days following their Scottish FA Cup exit last weekend. They have now won one, drawn three, and lost five of their last nine games in all competitions.
This predictably puts them in a spot of bother in the league, with four points between Motherwell in 10th and Inverness CT in 12th. They could move up to 6th with a win on Tuesday though.
Away from home they have won just one of their last 11 games in all competitions, but they have managed to score in four matches on the bounce on the road and have only failed to score against Celtic, Dundee, and Hearts this season.
Ross County have won three of their last four at home, but they haven’t kept a clean sheet in ten matches at the Global Energy Stadium and they have conceded seven goals in their last three games there. Fortunately for them they have a star up front in Liam Boyce. The English striker has scored 13 league goals this season and nine of them have come in 11 home appearances, so backing him for our anytime goalscorer predictions looks a good choice here.
This makes odds of 7/10 for Both Teams to Score look a good value bet, so I’m backing that along with a 3-1 win for Ross County at 16/1 for my correct score predictions.
