Rukh Brest vs FC Minsk Predictions

  • Rukh Brest haven’t scored a goal in any of their last three games.
  • FC Minsk have averaged 1.5 goals per game in the Belarus Premier League this season.
  • Rukh Brest lost their only home game in the top flight against Energetik-BGU on gameweek two.

Rukh Brest brought back to reality

Rukh Brest, a football team that was only formed four years ago, clinched the most impressive result in their short history back on gameweek one of the Belarus Premier League, beating Dinamo Minsk 1-0 in their first ever match in the top flight.

That trip to Dinamo Minsk had the travelling fans on cloud nine, but they have since been plunged back down to earth. Defeats to Energetik-BGU and BATE followed that landmark maiden victory, and a goalless draw at Slavia Mozyr last weekend extended their run of goalless games to three.

Minsk looking to bounce back

FC Minsk also opened their season with a fantastic result as they comfortably beat Belshina Bobruisk 3-1 away from home. They followed that with a thrilling 3-2 win over cross-city rivals Dinamo Minsk, almost throwing away a 3-0 lead to the 10 men of Dinamo Minsk.

However, Minsk have mirrored their opponents by losing to Energetik-BGU and BATE Borisov since then, failing to find the net against both despite netting six times in their opening two games.

There is no shame in losing to Energetik-BGU or BATE at the moment, with the former sitting joint top of the table and the latter dominating the top flight for the past 15 years. That being said, this does mark the perfect opportunity for Minsk to rediscover their early-season success.

Visitors set to punish Rukh Brest

In fact, given Rukh Brest’s inability to score right now and Minsk winning away to the newly promoted Belshina earlier this season, backing a Minsk draw no bet looks favourable.

We’re expecting it to be a tight one though. Rukh Brest may be unable to find the net, but they have only conceded twice in the league so far. Minsk have averaged 1.5 goals per game so far this season, so a 1-0 correct score prediction looks a good shout.
