Sheffield United vs Fleetwood Town Predictions
Having looked like they might just begin to run away with League One when they hit the front not so long ago, Sheffield United have proven that they’re far from invincible and are now without a win in two matches. On the other hand, Fleetwood continue to go well and showing themselves to be a tough team to beat. Make no mistake about it, Sheffield United won’t have this one all their own way either and could easily find themselves struggling once again.
At odds of 11/2, Fleetwood certainly wouldn’t be the worst bet here, but the safer option, at odds that also look very generous, is ‘Fleetwood Win/Draw Double Chance’.
The visitors might not have the most inspiring record on the road overall this season, but they’ve been tough to beat of late and should relish the counter-attacking style that this match will allow them to adopt.
Sheffield United remain an impressive side going forward, but as Walsall and Gillingham have proved recently, they certainly aren’t infallible. Fleetwood, who’ve conceded just one goal in their last five away matches, could easily be capable of frustrating the hosts at a time when they’re not quite at it, before pouncing on the counter.
The hosts have kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches and although they do have an impressive home record, nothing lasts forever. Fleetwood have acquitted themselves well of late and it would be no surprise whatsoever if they were capable of causing a bit of an upset here. At the prices, it’s well worth opposing a home team who haven’t quite been at their best recently.
