Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR Predictions
The Owls did suffer a rare defeat at the weekend though as they went down to a 1-0 loss at Preston. They’d only lost 3 of their previous 25 league games prior to that though and are a real force at Hillsborough, where they are unbeaten in 15 matches. They currently occupy the final play-off place with a 4 point cushion on 7th placed Cardiff.
QPR have been tougher to beat under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but he hasn’t really had the sort of immediate impact, many at Loftus Road hoped he would. The Londoners have lost just once in 7 outings but that was a damaging 3-1 home loss to local rivals Fulham and they’ve only won 2 of their 14 matches under the Dutchman. They are in the top half but 13 points off their opponents.
Reason for Betting Tips
This feels like QPR’s final chance to hold onto even the slimmest hopes of a play-off spot. They are in no danger of going down so they may as well have a go here and try and win the game but Sheffield Wednesday are a really tough nut to crack these days and could capitalise on any openings. There have been 11 wins in Sheffield Wednesday’s 15 game unbeaten home run and backing another Wednesday win at 4/5 looks good here.
