Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United Betting Tips & Predictions

Tottenham Hotspur’s title ambitions took a big blow last weekend when they failed to take three points away from Anfield. A 1-1 draw is respectable in it’s own right against Liverpool, but they really needed a win in order the keep the pressure on league leaders Leicester.

That draw now puts them seven points adrift of Leicester at the top of the Premier League, and also allowed Arsenal to close the gap between them and Spurs to four points.

This wasn’t the first time that Spurs have faltered in the Premier League either. A draw at home to Arsenal and a loss to West Ham have both come in the last five Premier League outings, and when you take into account the Europa League Spurs have only won two of their last seven.

Manchester United fans certainly won’t be happy with the way their season has panned out so far, but the fact of the matter remains that they are still in with a shot of claiming a top four spot in the Premier League.

Back to back wins against Manchester City and Everton have helped them close the gap on 4th place Manchester City to just a single point, although their exit from the Europa League at the hands of Liverpool will still be fresh in the memory. Away from Old Trafford they have been poor as well, with just two wins and four defeats in their last six trips away from home.

Scoring has been the major issue for the Red Devils. They have netted just five goals in their last seven appearances in all competitions, which has helped towards each of those seven matches seeing fewer than three goals. Spurs should be able to handle Man United’s faltering attack at White Hart Lane, and that makes me think that we’re in for a low scoring match on Sunday. Odds of 7/10 for Under 2.5 Goals looks good to me, and a 1-0 Spurs win is attracting me at 6/1 too.
