Tranmere Rovers vs Lincoln City Betting Tips & Predictions

Tranmere Rovers are hoping to bounce straight back up into the Football League after their bottom of the table relegation from League Two last season, but it isn’t going quite to plan at the moment.

They sit just outside the promotion playoff spots in the Conference National, with two points separating them from 5th placed Braintree. A win on Friday could send them up to 4th in the table though and significantly boost their chances of securing a playoff spot.

They are a very difficult side to beat, with just one defeat in their last 11 matches in the league. They have won six of these matches, but recently they have struggled to find the three points they need. Tranmere have drawn their last three matches on the trot and have only won two of their last seven.

Lincoln’s season is all but over at this point. They are in a respectable 10th position in the table, but they are nine points adrift of the playoffs and even further off the relegation zone, so there really isn’t much chance of them being involved in anything dramatic at the end of the season.

This comfort has shown in the last couple of weeks as well. They have lost back to back matches in the league and haven’t won in three, bringing an end to their six match unbeaten streak that preceded it.

Away from home Lincoln are really struggling. They haven’t won since the end of November and have lost five of their nine away days since then. Tranmere Rovers, on the other hand, have won three of their last five on home turf. This makes odds of 4/5 for a Tranmere Rovers Win on Friday look very good value considering Lincoln don’t really have anything to play for.
