Udinese vs Monza Predictions
- Udinese have seen both teams score in four of their last seven games.
- Monza, meanwhile, have seen both teams net in three of their last four.
- Udinese have already faced Monza twice this season, winning 2-1 in Serie A and losing 3-2 in the Coppa Italia.
Zebrette face familiar opponents
Mid-table sides Udinese and Monza are separated by just four points ahead of their third head-to-head meeting of the campaign on Saturday, and recent history suggests punters should expect to be entertained. Udinese claimed a 2-1 win in August’s return fixture in Serie A, but they were on the receiving end of a 3-2 loss in a Coppa Italia tie two months later. With both teams involved in several end-to-end fixtures of late, more of the same could be on the way.
Udinese have only lost one of their last five games – though that result was a comprehensive 3-0 reverse against Bologna last time out. Before that defeat, Udinese had posted back-to-back wins over Empoli and Milan, while they have hit multiple goals in each of their last three home games – scoring seven in total. Each of their last four at the Dacia Arena, however, have seen both teams net.
Monza suffered a 2-0 defeat to high-flying Lazio last time out, having picked up five points in their previous three against Empoli, Verona and Cremonese. Raffaele Palladino’s side have struggled defensively of late, failing to record a clean sheet in their last six games, but three of their last four have seen both teams net. Monza enjoyed more possession, had more shots and created a higher expected goals tally than Lazio last time out, and they will fancy their chances of breaching Udinese’s defence.
Inconsistent outfits both likely to net
With Udinese and Monza each posting just two league victories since the end of January, punters are advised to ignore the result markets and back both teams to score in Saturday’s game, with both sides able to approach the run-in under little pressure.
Meanwhile, the Zebrette have only lost two of their 13 home league games this term, but seven of those contests have finished level. No team has recorded more than their 11 Serie A draws this campaign, making a 1-1 stalemate look like a decent correct score prediction.
