Valerenga claimed a 1-1 draw away at Rosenborg on Wednesday night and sit 7th in the Eliteserien table having secured 8[ts from their opening five matches. Aalesund have found life in the top flight tough from day one and in midweek they suffered a third defeat in their opening five matches, going down 3-1 in their own backyard to Mjondalen.

Our prediction for a home win this weekend is based largely on the form both teams find themselves in the early stages of the season, as well as their recent head to head record. Valerenga have won their last two games against Aalesund, most recently a 5-1 victory at home back in 2017. The hosts head into Saturday’s clash having won two, drawn two and lost one of their opening five matches.

Valerenga drew their first home game 2-2 with Stabaek and then beat Viking 2-1, while Aalesund lost their opening away game 7-2 against Kristiansund and then drew 1-1 at Stromsgodset.
