Wolves vs Bristol City Betting Tips and Predictions

This is a bigger game for Bristol City than Wolves, who are drifting towards a mid-table finish but it is still a bit too early for them to be thinking about their summer holidays so we should still see a full-blooded performance from them. They certainly gave that last time out at home when they beat Derby 2-1 to end a 7 match winless streak and they only lost 2-1 at 2nd placed Middlesbrough on Friday night so Kenny Jackett may feel as though his side have come out the other side of their rough patch.

Bristol City have given themselves a great chance of survival over the past 5 weeks as they’ve won 4 of their last 6 matches including all of their last 3 away games at Charlton, MK Dons and Nottingham Forest. They have lost 2 of their last 3 matches though going down at Ashton Gate to local rivals Cardiff at the weekend and they were beaten 4-0 at home by Brighton only a couple of weeks so they are by no means without their frailties and Wolves will be hopeful that they can expose them here.

Goals look likely in this game. Both teams have scored in all of Wolves last 5 home games and 7 of their last 8 at Molineux in total. Bristol City have a poor defensive record this season but have looked better going forward of late and will be confident they can also get at Wolves defence that has kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 11. Therefore backing both teams to score at 5/6 looks an attractive proposition in this game.
