Young Boys vs Feyenoord Predictions
Young Boys thrashed Neuchatel Xamax 4-1 at the weekend and beat Rangers 2-1 in their last Europa League game so confidence within the club is bound to be high heading into Thursday’s clash with Feyenoord. The visitors could only draw at home to Heracles on Sunday though the Dutch club did win 2-0 in the last group game against Porto but their inconsistency has been an issue so far this season.
All of the stats suggest that we are likely to see both teams score and at least three goals in Thursday’s match and we’ve backed Young Boys to claim a narrow 2-1 win.
These two teams have never locked horns competitively before but their performances over the last month or so back up our prediction for Thursday’s match, as both teams scored in five of Young Boys’ and four of Feyenoord’s last six matches, while over 2.5 goals were produced in each of the hosts’ last four matches as well as in four of Feyenoord’s last six matches.
The form of both teams heading into this Europa League tie only adds weight to our prediction of a home win, as Young Boys are unbeaten in their last six matches, picking up four wins from their last four outings, while Feyenoord have lost two of their last five matches and are without a win in their last two games.
Both teams arrive in great goalscoring form but have each struggled to keep things tight at the back of late, with Young Boys scoring in each of their last six matches and Feyenoord only failing to score in one of their last six outings, but both teams have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last six attempts and this is why we’re confident that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced on Thursday.
We’re confident that both teams will score and that over 2.5 goals will be produced in Thursday’s match and we have p[redicted a final scoreline of 2-1 in favour of the hosts. Young Boys head into the game as the form favourites and with the home advantage, we believe they will edge past Feyenoord and claim all three points on Thursday. Feyenoord’s form so far this season has been patchy, to say the least, but they did beat Porto last time out and are bound to make Thursday’s clash competitive but having failed to win any of their last three away games, we believe the home side will collect all three points from this game.
