Albion Rovers suffered heavy defeat at the hands of Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday, as the side managed by Kevin Harper was thrashed 6-0. Kyle Turner scored his first goal on the day 2 minutes in, with a further 4 goals coming before the end of the half. Kevin Nisbet opened and closed his tally within 25 minutes and also sealing his hat trick, with Aaron Comrie scoring too. Turner put the last nail in the coffin in the 53^rd minute, ensuring that Albion Rovers received an absolute humiliation.

The score was a surprising one, as the North Lanarkshire side had managed to scrape a win in their last outing, which was a 1-0 win over East Kilbride. Prior to that, the club had gone through an atrocious pre-season, losing every single one of the 4 friendlies they played.
